சில பரிமாற்றங்களுக்குப் பிறகு

மாலையில் உனக்காய் சமைக்கும் போது

நான் பார்க்கவில்லையடா என் கைபேசியை...

நம் தோழி உன்னுடன் உரையாடிக்கொண்டிருந்தாள்....

நானும்

எதிர்பார்த்திருந்தேன் உன் ஒற்றை குறுஞ்செய்தியை...

வீட்டில் இருந்து கிளம்பினேன்..

அதற்குள் நம் தோழி உனக்கு தெரியிவித்துவிட்டாள்

சில நிமிட தயக்கங்களுக்குப் பின்

உனைச் சந்தித்தேன்...

நொடியில் கரைந்தது! என் கோபம்...

ஆயினும் உன்னிடம் வெளிப்படுத்தும் வரை

குறையாது என் தவிப்பு...

ஒரு வித கோபம்!!! 

காதல்!!! 

காதல் வந்தால் மனசுக்குள் பட்டாம்பூச்சி பறக்கும்! தனிமையில் சிரிப்பார்கள் எனக் கேட்டபோது நான் சிரித்தேன்! இது எப்படி சாத்தியம் என்று! இன்றோ நானும் தனிமையில் சிரிக்கிறேன், பல நூறு வண்ணப் பட்டாம்பூச்சிகள் என் உள் மனதில் பறக்கின்றன உன்னை நினைக்கையில்!!! 

முன் பனி நேரத்தில் உன்னைச் சந்திக்கையில் ஏதும் தோணவில்லை இன்னும் சில நாட்களில் உன்னை நினைத்துத் தனிமையில் சிரிப்பேன் என்று! 

உன்னைச் சந்தித்த நாளில் என்றும் இல்லாத ஏதோ ஒரு புது வித உற்சாகம் என்னுள். வெளிப்படுத்த வார்த்தை இல்லை என்னிடம்... அன்று உன்னை பிரிந்து செல்கையில் ஏதோ ஒரு மாற்றம், தயக்கம், ஏக்கம்... மீண்டும் உன்னைச் சந்திக்க நேர்ந்திடுமா என்று!

ஓர் இரு நாளில் நம் அனைவருக்கும் வந்த மடலினை நீ எனக்கு மீண்டும் அனுப்பிய போது நான் இவ்விடமே இல்லை... அவ்வளவு ஆனந்தம் அதைப்பார்க்கையில்...ஏன் உனக்கு மட்டும் தெரியாதா என்ன எனக்கும் அந்த மடல் வந்திருக்கும் என்று! அன்று முதல் நாம் மறுமுறை சந்திக்கும் வரை பல நூறு முறை படித்திருப்பேன்.....

எதிர்பார்த்த அந்த நன்னாளும் வந்தது! அன்று முழுதும் என் கண் முன் நீயே நிறைந்திருந்தாய்! உன்னையன்றி வேறெங்கும் நான் அகலவில்லை! தாயை தேடும் சேயை போல் உன் அருகினிலே இருந்திட ஆசைப்பட்டேன்...நம்மை சுற்றி பலர் இருந்ததாலோ என்னவோ நாம் பேசிக்கொள்ளவில்லை வார்த்தைகளில்.. உன் பார்வையின் அர்த்தம் புரிய ஆரம்பித்தது அன்று தான்...உன் பார்வை என்னும் மாய வலையில் நான் வீழ்ந்ததும் அன்று தான்...

அமுதினும் இனியதோ... 

மீண்டும் ஒரு பயணம் உன்னுடன், இம்முறை அது சற்றே நீண்ட பயணம்... உன்னைப் பிரிந்து நான் என் வீடு செல்ல வேண்டும் என்பதை நினைவு படுத்தியது அப்பயணம்... வெகு நேரம் ஆகிவிட்ட போதிலும் இப்பயணம் இன்னும் சிறிது நேரம் தொடர வேண்டும் என நான் வேண்டிய தருணம்...

குழப்பத்துடன் மெல்ல நகர்ந்தது அடுத்த இரண்டு நாட்கள்... அது நீ அழைப்பாயோ எனக் காத்த்துக்கொண்டிருந்த நிமிடங்கள்... எப்படி இன்று அழைப்பதென்று இருந்தபோது வந்தது உன் அழைப்பு சற்றும் எதிர்பார்க்காத நேரத்தில்... 

நம்மை சேர்த்தது விதியோ இல்லை விழியோ!!! 

உன்னை பார்க்க ஆசைப்பட்டேன்... ஆனால் நீயோ எதிர்பாரா நேரத்தில் இனிப்பான பரிசு கொடுத்து என்னை ஆச்சர்யப்படுத்திவிட்டாய்...

அடுத்த இரு நாட்களில் தோழிக்காக உணவு கொண்டு வர நினைக்கையில் நீயும் வரக்கூடும் எனத் தெரிந்து நானே சமைக்க முயற்சித்தேன்... முதல் முறை தனியாக சமைக்கிறேன் என்பதை விட அது உனக்குப் பிடிக்குமோ என்ற எண்ணமே இருந்தது... உன்னால், உனக்காய் என்னுள் பல மாற்றங்கள்.. இது தான் காதலோ..

உன்னால்! என் உலகம் அழகாகியது! 

கண்களால் பேசுவதின் அர்த்தம் புரிகிறது! 

மௌனத்தின் மொழி தெரிகிறது! 

எப்போதும் என்னை சுற்றிலும் யாரும்மில்லாது, நீ என்னுடன் இருப்பது போல் உணர்கிறேன்... உன் பார்வையின் தாக்கம் இன்னும் தெரிகிறது என்னிடம்... 

திருடனே! என் இரவுகளை களவாடிவிட்டாய்!

Visit to Alamparai Fort with Cute Chatterboxes

Feb 19th, was the Day I was deeply touched by the resilience of the young kids living over there in SIP Home. We gathered to celebrate CTC's Birthday,

CTC Baby entered its fourth year on Feb 22nd!!! Members planned for 22 different treks to celebrate it on Feb 18-19, nearest weekend... where I was engaged in Social Trek 

As already known to regular trekkers, Social Trek has been organized by great Thilak. We Volunteers were waiting in usual pickup points, while Thilak Started from SIP HOME along with the kids. After few hours of waiting & expecting, the trip actually started around 7.30 am from Tidal to hit the road. 

We travelled in 2 Cabs and few cars, where the Kids eagerly splitter into different groups as they wish. Cars & Vans started with a mixed group of Kids and Volunteers.

I was in a Van along with cute Kabilan, Marimuthu, Priya, Mary, Sangeetha, Lavanya, Sara & Harish (Jaya's Son) and bustling volunteers Siva, Dhana, Sasirekha, Thangam Ji & Jayachitra...

We were entertained by Mary, Marimuthu and Siva's dance, our first 1 hour journey ended soon. We all assembled in a Park in ECR, for morning Break Fast where we met the rest of the kids & Volunteers who came in other vehicles.

Though the Kids started early and more than an hour's journey without starving for food, they started playing with full delight and great smiles , Where the fun freaks Siva, Jagadheesh, Shibu, Nandan, and few others too joined the kids for maximum fun and excitement.  While Kids and Many Volunteers were busy in Playing, Thilak – The Organizer was much concentrated to serve yummy food for us on time. 

Asha, Arun, Gayathri Chandrasekhar and few others helped a lot to serve food for our empty stomach. Idly & Vada, served by them was too yummy to eat and it’s even more pleasure to have in a road side Park, facing Palm trees near the beach. Before starting, while myself & Shubha tried the slide in the park, kids and Thilak, Jagadheesh, Gayathri & Shibu too joined us for this unexpected shutterbug!!! 

From there the actual trip started around 9 am. After having breakfast and few funny snaps, lovely moments we headed to Alamparai with unforgettable moments. The 2nd session of our travel was funnier than the first... We divided among ourselves into two groups and played Anthakshari, a common game among the Cute Little Kids & Grown Kids too ;-)

Finally, around 10.30 am we reached the destination – Alamparai Fort. While few are interested in reading the history of the Fort at the entrance, Kids and many volunteers started walking, running & playing... The first view we visited was the Fort Wall, which was about 30 Feet height and enjoyed the sightseeing.

In turn Few Volunteers Thilak, Nandan, Shibu, Nivya, Lakshmi and few others assembled near the boat with the Kids... As usual Sweepers team took us to the point. After few discussions two boats started towards the beach. First boat started with the Kids who got ants in their pants, while the second one is moderate and the trip was delayed for such a long time that the Kids were champing at the bit. 

The moment we reached the beach, we Volunteers have to go the extra mile to control all those Enthusiastic Kids. The game is on!!!  Everybody wanted to have some fun in the water... And when kids are around, can’t escape without getting wet... All of us Played, Rolled, amused, enjoyed and drenched too  while karthik & other Shutterbugs were busy in Clicking the best moments... 

Few Kids with full of energy started again to build Sand Temples in beach with the help of their close to heart Thilak anna  and few other Volunteers. Then Few Played Kabadi and the Final touch to fulfill the game was Rakesh. Few Mischievous Volunteers Siva, Gayathri, Shibu and cute Kids pushed Rakesh down and covered with Sand for final photograph. It’s the time for us to back to the Fort for lunch. Finally Kids & we started our boat trip...

As many Kids were in hunger we sent them in first two boat trips. Few Volunteers, Siva, Shuba, Dhana, Padma, Sasi, Shibu, Jagadheesh and I along with Nandhini and few Kids was in a condition to listen to Rakesh's mokka stories  as we were the one to start in third Trip.

We had Yummy Biriyani  once we reached the Fort again... Post lunch, where few were resting we started playing game... The game has been conducted by T. Lakshmi, the group leads were T.Thangaprakasam, T. Siva & T. Sasi and our main duty is to divide the kids equally as T.Siva has maximum Kids in his group. Then the actual game started when T.Thilak cross checked with T.Sara.... The game was quiet fun to the kids as they have to say Tomato for every question, kids questioned and answered smart.... The game came to an end with the distribution of Watermelon to everyone.

  

It's time to start . As kids wished we again took them near to Fort Wall and rested there in cool breeze for some time and started back to Chennai. Finally, it’s the time to say bye to Alamparai. We assembled in front of the great Alamparai for a snapshot!!!

  

While in return journey our Van actually filled in more number of Kids than in the morning. As most of them in the Van was tired, Energetic Kowsalya, Sangeetha, Shanmuga Priya and Siva entertained us from the beginning by their lovely dance and smiles 

We reached the Park again for regrouping to head towards Chennai. We played for some time. Few had hot coffees and all had Yummy Yummy, Tasty Tasty Fruit Salad  . I am sure we all started back to home with a smile knowing that we had the unforgettable day with the kids... I am happy that I was part of this team and special Thanks to Thilak a lovely Organizer, Volunteers where everyone became a grown Kid to see the smile in the faces of those Kids!!!!

Memorable Day with Cute Kids of SIP Home!!!

Feb 12th, was the Day I was deeply touched by the resilience of  the young    kids living over there. 
Our actual plan was to reach the Home at 10 a.m and start around 2 p.m. We guys travelled in and around Kolathur to spot the exact point, but in vain...     Atlast, Organizer Thilak (the real hero) took us there after an hour's search....

Kids were eagerly waiting for Us.... The kids seemed to be so happy and full  of life, expecting known and unknown ones. The moment we reached, I in     turn got excited with their enthu and love for meeting Thilak, Siva, Vadivel and few others... All Kids started Thilak anna, Thilak anna, and asks for few        others like “Guru anna Varalaiya???”, “Dhana Akka varalaiya???”. Its not just aquestion, its their love for them.. Meanwhile I got introduced myself to Vennila, Kutti Dhivya, Nandhini, Kabilan and few others... While Siva is in search of  his Darling, Thilak too Joined him in search of her, Finally arrived their Cute   Kutti Darling Sneha :)

It was the moment, we volunteers too became Kids. From the beginning its     full of Fun! Fun!! Fun!!! Actual game started by Fun Freak Sunitha and mass entertainers Siva, Thilak, Vadivel and others, while myself, Dhevi, Shambavi,  Shuba, Hema, Padma, Srila and few other Volunteers and kids were busy in    blowing Baloons. Hope Kids enjoyed every bit of the game. 

Siva and few Kids surprised B'Day Babies Vadivel & Aravind by a birthday     Blast ;-) 

Completely lost myself with the love of 42 Kids in SIP Home. It was a life time experience...

My First Trekking Experience

I want to give a large write-up about this Ladies Trek which is my first experience with CTC. 
Nov 4th 2011, I was flabbergasted by seeing the mail from CTC about ONE DAY LADIES TREK. I filled in the details and reverted at the drop of a hat, expecting a reply. 

Nov 8th 2011, mail box popped up with new mail from Jisha Jayakumar. I rushed into it, oooh... it's a reply stating 
“Hello CTCians,
The registration for ladies trek is closed.
Thank you for the overwhelming response.
The confirmed and wait-listed participants will be contacted in a separate mail chain”
it's again like waiting for a raindrop in the drought. 

Nov 9th 2011, finally arrived List of Participants details which added fuel to the flames. My name is in Waiting List, when I started praying Oh My God!!!! please let them select me too to join this trek. 

What a Surprise!!! God Heard my Prayers!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Emperor called on one fine day(12th Nov) saying “Actually there are some drop outs in Selected Participants List, are you interested in Joining US”. It was the moment where I was on Cloud Nine  (though it took solid 3 hours to confirm her). 

Started for my Trek Preparations. Shocked to see the Preparatory mail which confused me a lot. Where do I get this? Where do I get that?. No way Called the Emperor. I was excited and felt very comfortable, I am in a right place. Emperor Saved her girl....Huhhhhh!!!! had a deep breath..... 

Wow. Finally gonna rest in Nature's Lap on 20th Nov 2011, had time on my hands!!!! 

I had 3 hours sleep before the night of the trek. Most awaited moment from the past 2 weeks. Started at 3.30 a.m from my home. OMG!!!! I will miss the boat if it gets late (CTC never waits for Late comers) reminded me this. At last I paddled my own canoe to reach the pick-up point. Thank God no one sued me for being late. 

A team of Emperor, 4 Brave Soldiers, 4 Leaders, and 20 people Started moving from City to View, Enjoy, Rest, Admire the Nature's Gift NAGALA. 

STARTING POINT

We CTCians traveled highways and byways to reach the starting point. We relaxed for few mins and had breakfast which was organized and brought by Volunteers. After initial small introduction ,we signed the forms and shared the foods, chocolates etc., which in turn made me feel, ya we are going to start. Being among the unknown crowd I tended myself to reach for the moon. I got a bee in my bonnet about discovering this adventurous NAGALA for the 1st time.

GAME ON when the Emperor said “Hurry Up Guys, Its time to start”. Right from the word go, we walked and walked and walked no sights of water pools. I was like asking the experienced “when will we reach the pool?”. I guess we crossed more than 3 km I was exhausted, but little streams of water which we crossed boosted up. Being an extrovert I enjoyed the presence of CTCians around me. Highly motivated by the streams of water,I reached the first moving team and found the FIRST POOL, which stirred my adventurous life. 

FIRST POOL: BETTER PLACE TO SWIM, FLOAT IN LESS DEEP WATER

Where some rested in rocks, I enjoyed a dip in the stream and found a new energy. With a team of Swimmers around me & with the help of Swimming Tube I enjoyed a lot in the pool. Few non-swimmers like me adventured Dives from the Rock which is about 3-4 feet height from the water level.... From then on nothing stopped me......

While Mr. Gowri & Mr. Karthik helped/saved us during Fun, Mr. Diwaker was busy in clicking the best moments.(He Clicked it to see & wonder how adventurous we are) and another Energetic guy Mr. Thilak added fuel by announcing a cute little competition among us based on number of Dives. Will I Leave It? Never.. Adventurous me dived for 6 times & received a big applause from CTCians. We spent around 2 hours in water. While some experienced said “Dont Over swim which may make you feel tired”, nothing I couldn’t able to resist. Only I can hear/ see is Water.... Did Dives, Floated in Water, Enjoyed the moment. 

Emperor said Ouch!!! it was 12.15p.m we have to start from here, only then we can discover one more pool and return on time. I was like a kid asking “One more Dive... Please.. Please this will be the last”. Whether a mom says no to her Kid? She said Yes. But this is the final. Hurray!!! Did another dive.... Much Excited and energized, started walking towards the second pool. 

SECOND POOL : A VERY RARE SECENERY WHICH I HAVE SEEN ONLY IN MOVIES

we found it quite difficult to climb little steep to the second Pool. May be tired / hungry made me slow. Being understood this, the Soldiers found a mind-boggling atmosphere for lunch. We relaxed, admired during lunch. Some rested there, while some extremely excited and nerve-wracking people like me started to discover the second pool. Comparatively walking towards this pool is quite harder than the first, though it was quite interesting to walk in rocks, streams etc., What a Surprise? within a Maximum of ½ an hour we discovered the cascading, pounding, poetic 2nd Pool.

I thought it would be quiet calm, but this is too deep too... We once again enjoyed as a group in pool. Group!! remembers me to share something. I had a special team  Subha, Janani, Sugeetha & Kavitha, best buddies while in water. We helped each other and had much fun. Some even more admired, walked towards the stream to enjoy the real feel. It was a great place for sightseeing. We felt happy with whatever we had, we seen. 

FINAL MOMENTS

We had a wonderful time there but the party's over, we must get back. Walking back was not difficult as we started on time. On the way back to home the unknown crowd now become a familiar one. I had best buddy of myself Ms. Dhevi Sivaraman Who  made the trek livelier with her spontaneous speech(which resembled the continuous flow of water in the stream) where we shared eatables and both took group snaps. Even I admired more the two brave soldiers Mr. Gowri & Mr. Thilak who helped all the way long. As most of us are tired by enjoying the nature the spirit of Emperor & Soldiers made us to reach safe, back to the starting point. The team divided as three groups based on the energy level, to reach before it gets dark. Energetic groups waited for the rest to come. The Soldiers (Gowri & Karthik)of Last group lifted a Co-Trekker from the 1st pool, as she was over exhausted . Hats off to them. We waved our hands saying bye to NAGALA and started back for snack. Ouch!!! we found we left a backpack near 1st pool as a bolt from the blue. But brave soldiers (Diwakar & Karthik)made us to start and went back till 1st pool and fetched the same. We bid farewell with everyone and warm hugs to best buddies and I returned back with new friends Dhevi, Janani & Gowri:)

ADMIRATION

Though I admired the nature, I really admired the spirit of the CTCians. I admired the planning & co-ordination of the Emperor (Jisha), Brave and helping (Soldiers)  Gowri, Thilak, Karthik & Diwakar, calm & caring co-ordinators Dhevi, Sugeetha, Priyanthi and we the people Co-Trekkers. In this trek the Soldiers are the apple of my eye. I am sure CTC is on the level and anyone who wants to feast your eyes reach them!!!! Treat yourself with CTC!!!
